Today is another tough day for our family. It's the anniversary of Cathy's death.

She was something different to each of us - mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. She was not quite one year younger than me. So in many ways she was my closest cousin. When she came to Mother May's or when my mom and I went to Aunt Virginia's, we ran around together quite a bit. Most of my memories end with high school. Fortunately, most of you have more important memories - the ones from her adult life.

I don't know anyone who had to suffer so much over so many years. I don't know anyone who handled the difficulties of life with such a positive attitude and with no complaints. She was fun and competitive and a tease and enjoyed life. She was amazing!

We were blessed to have her in our lives. I know how much she loved us. We all loved her and miss her.
